Privacy Policy

Linkster is designed to route links locally on your Mac.

Data collection

Linkster does not collect personal data for analytics, advertising, tracking, accounts, or cloud sync. It does not sell data or send opened links, routing rules, or browser-profile information to Tiny But Perfect Software or any third party.

Local data

Linkster stores routing rules, recent routing history, preferences, and the identities of previous default handlers locally using macOS UserDefaults.

Routing history may include the opened URL, selected browser, optional profile name, and source application's name or bundle identifier. You can remove individual rules and clear recent history in the app.

Browser profiles

For supported Chromium-based browsers, Linkster can display local profile names. You must choose that browser's profile-data folder with the standard macOS open panel. Linkster stores a security-scoped bookmark to retain read-only access. Profile metadata stays on the Mac.

Default handlers

If you confirm Make Default, Linkster asks macOS to make it the handler for HTTP, HTTPS, and mailto links. Linkster stores the previous handlers locally so you can restore them later.

Network use

Linkster version 1 has no network entitlement and does not make network requests. A link is passed locally to the browser you select; that browser is then responsible for opening it.
